Entrepreneurship Training at Thiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu 

Training the Information Kiosk Operators at Trichy, Tamil Nadu, 21-25 July 2003.


The Grameen Technology Centre, Association for Social Alternatives and Drishtee are working in partnership in the district of Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) in Tamil Nadu to implement the Village Information Service Provider (VISP) Project. Under this project ICT-enabled Information Kiosks are being set up in smaller towns surrounding Trichy Town. The VISP project enlisted the support of World Corps India as a training consultant for imparting Entrepreneurship Development (ED) training to the ICT Kiosk Operators in Trichy. 

WCI team comprising of Ms. Deepa Anandakrishnan, Mr. Praveen Kumar Prithvi and Mr. M. Saravanan conducted the ED training programme in Trichy for Information Kiosk operators. As a part of the training, an interactive session was also conducted between the Kuppam based Community Information Centre operators and the upcoming Information Kiosk operators of Trichy.
