To alleviate poverty, to protect the environment and to build global peace

Life and Health Insurance Services Through CICs

The rural areas have been an untapped market for the insurance sector. Insurance schemes would not only make savings available to the rural poor when they most need it but would also ensure that their meager and hard-earned monies are well invested for their future needs.

There are a number of Indian and foreign insurance companies that have been trying to spread their services to the rural areas. The ICICI Lombard Services is one such company. The Community Information Centres have begun to work with ICICI to transact some of its products and services through online and offline services.

CICs are promoting the ICICI-Lombard Services through awareness building and group meetings. The following products have been made available at all the CICs.

ICICI Lombard Personal Accident Policy
ICICI Lombard Critical Health Insurance Policy
Home Insurance

Money Insurance

Mr. Kalyana Chakravorty, Business Development Executive, Internet Kiosk channel, ICICI Bank, Tirupathi says : “RMAG (Rural Micro Banking and Agri- Business Group) of ICICI Bank share a common goal and objective. It is no mean task to reach the rural population and needs a lot of expertise. Partnering with WCI is a step in the right direction. ICICI Bank and WCI together have taken up this challenge and have a lot ahead to achieve.”

Mr.Viswanatha Reddy, Entrepreneur, V.Kota Community Information Centre (CIC) had this to say : “I am happy to know that ICICI Lombard is come up with many health and insurance products for the rural masses.
