Chintamakulapalli is a Gram Panchayat in V.Kota Mandal, Chittoor District. The Chintamakulapalli Community Information Centre was established in this Gram Panchayat in March 2004. Since V.Kota was their head quarters they got familiar with the CIC services and started to assist Mr.Vishwanatha Reddy of V.Kota CIC in mobilizing applications for the the e-governance portal developed by Hewlett Packard. When the survey was done by World Corps India in their Gram Panchayat for setting up a CIC, these two youth were the first to apply for the centre ownership.

Through the Chintamakulapalli CIC 112 people for House Sites, 72 for Ration Cards, 54 for Colony Houses and 22 for Old Age Pension schemes had applied using the e-governance portal developed by Hewlett Packard. With an HP digital camera the two dynamic entrepreneurs have taken so far more than 1,063 photographs in their Gram Panchayat of students, family photos, family functions, wedding celebrations, public events, etc.

With the CIC name I was able to create a good image in the community as well as among the Government Departments. My communication and business skills have developed very much with WCI training. Recently I got married and I was proud to print beside my name “Entrepreneur, Chintamakulapalli CIC” on the wedding invitation”

Mr.V.Suresh says, “I am happy with what I am doing. So far people knew me only as a voluntary teacher but now they recognize me as an entrepreneur. I have developed good rapport with the local government and our community. This is all because of World Corps India and HP”
