Ms. Emily Tucker, Technical Project Manager, Grameen Technology Centre (GTC) visited WCI and the CICs to get first hand information on the strategies and programme plans adopted by WCI in implementing and setting up of the CICs. She visited the Kuppam and Gudipalle CICs and interacted with the entrepreneurs regarding the CIC activities, challenges and their solutions to problems.
GTC in partnership with The Activists for Social Alternatives (ASA) a large micro- finance institution which works in 4 districts of Tamil Nadu state and with Dhrishtee – rural portal developers are in the process of establishing a network of Information Kiosks in Tiruchirapalli District of Tamil Nadu state. |
